The Turkish machine tools industry partially meets domestic demand and about two third of the production is exported. Turkish machine tools manufacturers are conscious of quality, safety and the environmental aspects of production. The process of manufacturing better, innovative machine tools with higher technology is an ongoing effort among machine tools manufacturers in Turkey.

At present Turkey relies on Turkish made machine tools. On the other hand, Turkish manufacturers are closely following developments in international quality and environmental standards. The number of companies which have ISO Series Total Quality Certificates and the CE Mark is increasing.

Partnership with foreign companies may make huge contributions on developments in product, production and management technologies and access to markets. From the perspective of foreign companies, there will be the advantages of partnering the infrastructure of a dynamic, entrepreneurial sector having proved that it can reach a certain competitive power by its own resources and benefiting from Turkey’s domestic market, geographical location and logistical opportunities.
